JTH seeks a full-time annuity & maintenance fee administrator.  This is an entry-level position and prior experience in this type of role is not required.  Prior law firm experience (in any capacity) is a plus, but not necessary.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in challenging and rewarding work in a flexible and supportive environment, while contributing to the overall success of the Firm.  JTH offers a competitive benefits package, including:  employer-paid insurance (health, dental, life, STD/LTD) for all eligible employees; paid time off, including select holidays; and 401K plan.  JTH adheres to a 37.5 hour work week.  Salary is competitive with similar roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Review docket/calendar for upcoming annuity & maintenance fee deadlines for patents and review with the responsible attorney, as needed
  • Correspond with clients via email regarding costs, deadlines for payment, and client authorization to proceed
  • Initiate payments with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Correspond with agents/attorneys via email in foreign countries regarding local patent office deadlines, estimated costs, and initiating payments
  • Maintain and adhere to client-specific instructions and protocols as they relate to annuities & maintenance fees
  • Maintain electronic files in document management system
  • Provide supplemental support to Paralegals as required, including preparing and sending foreign clients reporting letters
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed
